Why StructResi exists
Most foundation and framing problems are easy to understand once you can see the mechanism. Almost nobody gets to see it, because it's buried in soil, hidden behind drywall, or photographed in a dark basement with a phone.
StructResi is a structural engineering channel focused on the houses people actually live in: block and poured foundations, bowed walls, sagging floors, cut joists, undersized headers, and the repairs contractors sell to fix them. Every topic is built as a 3D model so the wall, the soil, the water, and the load path can be turned, sectioned, and animated instead of described.

Who's behind it
StructResi is produced by Cory Wotachek, P.E., a licensed professional engineer in Wisconsin. Cory does structural inspections for residential and small commercial buildings, from foundations to framing to roofing, and the channel grew out of the same problem every inspection report runs into: site photos rarely convey what is really going on. StructResi is his independent project and is not affiliated with any engineering firm.
How the channel is funded
